This spacious and contemporary
garden room in Derby has just been completed to a bespoke design and features a sustainable green sedum roof, kitchenette and WC. The self contained space is an additional room to the house and allows for visiting guests to have their own separate living area, nestled into the surround picturesque garden.
The studio measures 6.5m x 4.7m in size (31 sqm overall) and is built using sustainable timbers throughout and features the attractive and highly durable Western Red Cedar cladding and contemporary Accoya decking.
Three bi-folding (cedar clad) doors allow the full opening up of the internal space along one facade. This is in combination with floor to ceiling frameless glazed windows, bring the outside in and creates a relaxing environment for all purposes, whatever the weather!
A sustainable green sedum roof option was selected for this particular studio for various eco benefits, but also for its aesthetics. Due to the studios location in the garden, the roof could be seen from the upper floors and so the sedum green roof provides an attractive option from the traditional.
