The Garden Office is designed for the urban environment and at only 3.5m x 2.5m the compact Office room should fit into most gardens.  Although its small in size, the interior space is adequate for 1 or 2 persons to work in comfortably.

The ‘office pod’ environment provides users to work at home, yet provides the necessary privacy and separation from your home life.  Just like another room in your home, the office is serviced with electric sockets, lighting, heating and the building is fully insulated throughout to provide a comfortable working environment.

It’s not just for working in!  The room can be used for a multitude of purposes and although the name suggests its an office which it most typically is, it does not mean you can’t use it for something else.

No Planning Required

Due to the small footprint of the building, the Garden Office Studio is classed as an ‘outbuilding’ and falls under permitted development.  The Garden Office is smaller in height than our larger bespoke Garden Studios, coming in at just under 2.5m.  Planning regulations specify that any outbuilding must not exceed 2.5m in height if it is within 2m of the boundary.  Because of this aspect, most Office Studios are exempt from planning and prove to be a very beneficial option to separating your work from your home.

Please note that not all gardens and spaces are exempt from planning.  Listed buildings and other special situations remove the right for permitted development and it may be necessary to still apply for planning if your property falls under this unique category.
